SPOTTED: MOBILE BILLBOARD HIGHLIGHTING MCCORMICK’S CONNECTICUT RESIDENCY CIRCLES BUS TOUR LAUNCH

The Billboard Truck Read: “Lititz, PA: 216 Miles Away from David McCormick’s Home in Westport, CT”

PENNSYLVANIA — A mobile billboard truck highlighting David McCormick’s record of lying about living in Pennsylvania circled his campaign event in Lititz today. The billboard read, “Lititz, PA: 216 Miles Away from David McCormick’s Home in Westport, CT.”

Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson TaNisha Cameron issued the following statement:

“David McCormick is a Connecticut hedge fund executive and mega-millionaire that has a long record of lying about living in Pennsylvania. He’s been caught chartering private planes to fly to Pennsylvania from his multi-million dollar mansion in Connecticut and refuses to say how much time he spends in Pennsylvania. David McCormick’s lies are disqualifying and Pennsylvanians are fed up.”

McCormick is Lying About Living in Pennsylvania:

  • McCormick can’t give a straight answer on how much time he spends in Pennsylvania.
  • In October on ABC 27:
    • ABC 27’s James Crummel: “How many days in the past year have you lived here in Pennsylvania.”
    • McCormick: “Well, listen…”
  • In January on WGAL
    • WGAL’s Barbara Barr: “Can you tell us how many days you lived in Pennsylvania last year versus how many in Connecticut?”
    • McCormick: “You know, like, I…listen…I…I”
  • In January on WTAE
    • When asked again if he spends most of his home time in Pennsylvania, a campaign aide interjected, “He answered the question.” McCormick added, “Thank you,” and concluded the interview.
