Today, ahead of the three-year anniversary of Donald Trump inciting a violent insurrection on the United States Capitol, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chair Senator Sharif Street released the following statement.
“Three years ago, Pennsylvanians watched as Donald Trump encouraged a violent mob to storm the United States Capitol and attack law enforcement in an attempt to remain in power. Trump’s continuous assaults on the foundations of our country drove our democracy to the brink of ruin on January 6, 2021, and he’s threatening to throw our nation into chaos once again. Pennsylvanians value our democracy and freedoms and want them strengthened, not attacked. Pennsylvania voters know how high the stakes are this November and will stand with President Biden and Vice President Harris as they fight to defend freedom and democracy for all of us.”
