PENNSYLVANIA — Today, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party launched a new website and digital ad, “Can’t Trust,” exposing David McCormick’s record of lying about living in Pennsylvania and serving China and his Wall Street friends, not Pennslyvanians. The Pennsylvania Democratic Party will run the digital ad on social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and programmatic, and will run Google Search ads directing Pennsylvania voters to the website so they can read for themselves.

In response to David McCormick’s upcoming campaign announcement, Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Maddy McDaniel issued the following statement:
“The real David McCormick is a mega-millionaire Connecticut hedge fund executive who is lying about living in Pennsylvania, and has spent his life looking out for himself and his rich friends at the expense of working families. Bob Casey has spent his career fighting for Pennsylvanians who work for a living, while McCormick has shown he will do and say anything to benefit himself and his wealthy Wall Street friends.”

As the head of the world’s largest hedge fund on Wall Street, he made his fortune of up to $290 million by investing billions of dollars for the Chinese government and outsourcing jobs to China and India while laying off workers in Pennsylvania. He also badly mismanaged the retirement funds of Pennsylvania’s teachers, while he walked away with millions in fees.
