FACT SHEET: Bidenomics is Delivering for Pennsylvanians

This week, President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will both head to the Keystone State to discuss how Bidenomics is building Pennsylvania’s economy from the bottom up and middle out. Ahead of the visits, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Sharif Street issued the following statement:

“Pennsylvanians are so proud to welcome the President and the First Lady back to the Keystone State to talk about how the Biden-Harris administration’s steady leadership is helping families across the commonwealth reap the benefits of Bidenomics – from lower costs and better-paying jobs to the critical investments that are supercharging key sectors like manufacturing and clean energy. As MAGA Republicans continue trying to roll back progress at the expense of working families, President Biden keeps delivering for working families across Pennsylvania.”

Here’s how Bidenomics is delivering for Pennsylvania:

  • Unemployment is down to 4% in Pennsylvania, with 486,800 new jobs created under the Biden-Harris administration.
  • 2.2 million seniors and other Medicare Part D beneficiaries in Pennsylvania will save money on prescription drug costs thanks to President Biden’s $2,000 yearly cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs, a $35 monthly cap per insulin prescription, and free vaccines.
  • The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is bringing $8.9 billion in public infrastructure investment to Pennsylvania – including funding for transportation improvements, clean water infrastructure, and climate resilience initiatives.
  • The Inflation Reduction Act will bring an estimated $270 million investment in large-scale clean power generation and storage to Pennsylvania between now and 2030, creating new jobs across solar, wind, storage, and other clean energy industries.
  • Pennsylvania is receiving $1.8 billion in funding from the Biden-Harris administration to provide affordable, reliable high-speed internet to homes across the commonwealth.
  • Over 600,000 households in Pennsylvania are saving $30-75 per month on high-speed internet through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
