PENNSYLVANIA — Today in Philadelphia, elected leaders continued the Pants on Fire tour with a press conference calling out David McCormick’s dishonest record, including lying about where he lives and the details of his background, his anti-choice agenda including support for an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest, and his record of investments with China.
“David McCormick has a long record of putting America’s adversaries ahead of Pennsylvanians,” said Philadelphia Councilmember Jim Harrity. “He invested in Russian government bonds that helped prop up Putin, while also helping to grow China’s military by investing millions in companies that produced fighter jets and bombers.”
“Dave McCormick supports an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest,” Philadelphia Councilmember Rue Landau. “He also refuses to support legislation to protect IVF. That is no so hard – this is literally about people’s reproductive freedoms and women’s bodies.”
“David McCormick is a Connecticut hedge fund CEO who has lied about living in Pennsylvania, when he only flew in for his campaign events before heading back to his home state,” said Philadelphia Councilmember Mike Driscoll. “David McCormick’s record of lying about where he lives is disqualifying.”
