Pennsylvania – We offer our sincere condolences to President Carter and the Carter family, as former First Lady Rosalynn Carter passed away peacefully Sunday at her home in Plains, Georgia.
She was a tireless advocate on behalf of mental health issues and professionalized the role of the president’s spouse.
After the White House, Rosalynn and President Carter developed The Carter Center which worked to promote peace and advocate for human rights around the world.
